Valley Farms brand wild bird food and grass seed mixes are manufactured by Truffa Seed Co., Inc. at our manufacturing facility in Walden, New York and sold to stocking dealers and distributors.
Truffa Seed Co., Inc. was started in 1982 and began doing business from our facility in Middletown, New York. After steady growth, we needed a larger facility with more receiving and production capacity. In 2000, we moved into a much larger facility in Walden, New York with railcar accommodations. We outfitted the property with a state of the art, computer run, unloading and mixing system.
Wild bird food products are produced predominantly under the Valley Farms trademark and consist of nine different mixes and many straight seed products. These products come in two or three sizes depending on the product. We also make specialty mixes for some of our dealers and distributors.
Grass seed mixes are packaged in two different product lines. Sizes range from one to 50 pounds. Some products bear the Valley Farms name while others are private labeled. As with the wild bird food, we also produce specialty mixes.
